The Pan Pacific International Conference on Topology and Applications (PPICTA) is a biennial conference that brings together researchers from topology and
various application areas to discuss recent key achievements, new problems and future directions for research, and also helps promoting the academic exchange
and the friendship among researchers on this area and related topics. The first conference (http://math.mnnu.edu.cn/topo/) was held in 2015 at Min Nan Normal
University, Zhangzhou, China.
PPICTA 2017 in Busan, Korea, will be the second in this series of highly attracted conferences. The conference plans to have the scientific sessions: Algebraic
Topology, Continuum Theory, Dynamical Systems, Geometric Topology, Differential Geometry and Topology, Knot Theory, Set-Theory, Set-Theoretic
Topology, Topological Graph Theory, Applied Topology and Inter-disciplinary Applications, and social events. The scientific programs of the conference will consist
of plenary lectures, session invited and contributed talks, and some other special scientific events.
Busan, where the conference is going to be held, is the second largest city in Korea. The natural environment of Busan is a harmonious relationship of mountains,
rivers and sea. Its geography includes a coastline featuring superb beaches and scenic cliffs, mountains which provide excellent hiking and extraordinary views with
hot springs scattered throughout the city. The city's natural endowments and rich history have resulted in Busan's increasing reputation as a world class city for
tourism and culture, and it is also becoming renowned as a hot spot destination for international conventions.
